Troubleshooting:

  • Verify that the Roku player has connected directly to the TV. In case your Roku player connected to an audio/video receiver (AVR) or sound bar, then in first place disconnect it and connect directly to the TV. This will remove any issue with the AVR or sound bar and make it easier to troubleshoot the problem.
  • Another cause of the issue is you have selected the wrong input on your TV. It is quite common to do this mistake. Mostly the TV has many video inputs situated at the back of the TV to connect different devices such as a cable box, gaming console, and of course, Roku player. You must select the input, sometimes referred to as source that matches the one to which you have the Roku player connected.
  • Another cause of concern could be the video cable is not connected or it could be the faulty one. To fix this verify that the video cable is connected properly or reinsert the cables into their respective ports like the video cable is firmly connected to the back of your Roku player and to the HDMI port of the TV.  IN case of Roku streaming stick, check that the video cable is firmly connected to the HDMI connector on your TV. You can replace the faulty cable with another working cable.
  • Another reason for video not displaying or audio not hearable could be due to the issue of TV. Try to connect the Roku device with another TV and see if the problem is with a connector on the TV. Or you can try to connect the Roku player to another different input of the TV.

Troubleshooting:

  • First, make sure that you use included power adaptor to connect the Roku device with power. Using the different power adaptor other than the included power adaptor comes with a Roku device could be the reason that your Roku device is not getting power on.
  • Another way is to try the different power outlet than before to see if the issue is with existing power outlet. Also, you can have the choice of testing another electronic device you know works in the same power outlet. In case the Roku player is connected to a power strip, unplug it and connect the power adapter directly to a wall power outlet.
  • Also, try to disconnect and reattach the power adapter making sure it is securely and firmly connected to the Roku player and the wall power outlet. Verify that the power on light indicator on the Roku device is functional. In some case, it is the faulty light indicator which is the cause for concern.
  • If it is the Roku streaming stick which you are using then try connecting it to the USB port on your TV using the power adapter that came with your device. Also, try not to use any other USB cable other than the USB cable came along with your Roku device.
  • Also, carefully disconnect and then reattach the USB cable making sure it is securely and firmly connected to the TV and the power connector on your Roku streaming player. If this does not work, try to connect the USB in another port. Mostly TV has multiple USB ports, try connecting your Roku player or Roku Streaming Stick to a different USB port. Roku customer support number

To do this Put your smartphone into the camera mode as if you were taking a self-portrait (you should see yourself in the camera). Hold the remote control in front of the camera and press several different buttons. If you cannot see the flashing signal from the front of your remote as you press buttons, then try replacing the batteries in the remote.
